The Cornerstone By Sandy Jones
In The Gospel According to Thomas there is this:
(66) Jesus said, "Show me the stone which the builders have rejected. That one is the cornerstone."
I believe that the rejected cornerstone is our own direct knowing of Presence. The knowing of God without any intermediaries inbetween.
The Corner Stone is our own acknowledgement of this Divine Presence right here, right now, the Presence that is taking care of and tending this Awareness.
The corner stone is my self-realized self, the one I am when I recognize the Presence is Here and I am one with It. It is me when I am Knowing God directly. When we find That, it no longer missing. It the pure hearted self, the "unadulterated" childlikeness that is fully aware of its immediate connection to Presence, that is the Corner Stone, that is the one; It is me, who I am, my self.
And it comes to me, alone, without another, one to one knowing. The Corner Stone is not missing when I finally see that there is no religion or church or rabbi, or priest, or someone or other that can put themselves or their system or their ideology interposed between me and Presence. It is myself when the two become one; that is the Corner Stone.
Now I know that it is impossible for another to keep me from God's Presence, this is It, the Presence is right here, right now.
Perhaps this is too simple, too innocent, too beautiful and pure, but it is the Powerful Truth. The Truth is pure and simple and powerful and I am innocent and I live the direct inteface with this Presence, The All.
I say it is time to get rid of all the complex intellectual mumbo-jumbo that we let stand between the Presence and the Life we are. All of us, any of us, can see and know directly this Presence, because It is always Present, it is being this awareness that is aware right now.
And beside, its easy to see; because if this Presence did not exist we would not exist.
One day we see that there really is nothing and no one out there who has the authority or power to keep us from this Presence. And all becomes simple, sweet, childlike; we are born again..
This is what is missing, this Knowing That I am This Awareness and God is taking good of this Awareness.
I hear no mention of this 'cornerstone' by philosopers, by preachers, or by spiritual teachers. I wonder if It is rejected because if they tell us the Truth, if they tell us that we do not need a church or a priest or rabbi, in order to know God, they are sort of putting themselves out of a job. And if they'd say you are already one with God's Being, they'd lose their highly esteemed human position of (false) authority.
Men in black robes, men in white guru suits, men in long beards; the ones we call the holy men, the ones who put themselves up as interceptors of the Light of Truth, saying things like they have the Truth and there is no truth except through them-- Now, we can put the interlopers aside and make the direct interface now.
The Child is the omnipresent Self, there is no chruch on earth that is closer to God than your self, right now. And this Self you are is already being taken care of. It takes no time to get there, you are already Here.
Presence and Its awareness right here, right now, is God's Awareness.
Presence is right here and right now being all that I am. Presence is Here, and there is nothing between this Pesence and me. Right here in the world all by myself I am one with God and I know who I am.
The Presence is right now, and Its awareness is my awareness, there is no other who can come between us. We are One; that is my rock solid Corner Stone and It is no longer missing.
There is indeed a Presence, right here, right now, taking care of this awareness, tending this awareness. There is a Presence here, right here, right now, and I am this Awareness.
The Gospel of Thomas: (19) Jesus said, "Blessed is he who came into being before he came into being."It is Simple and Innocent and the Truth has no need to argue or prove itself to the world, It speaks for Itself by being all that is real and all that really matters.
Presence is here and real. No one can deny Presence. It is all encompassing, without beginning and without end. Presence includes all that I am, it includes my entire being. Its awareness is my identity.
I am directly in touch with God -- and that is that.
The Heart understands.
When we return to ourself we find God has been with us always.
Much Love to All, Sandy
